Goalie Drama, New Rivalry & Statement Wins

Week 3 delivered another round of unpredictable action, with goalie shakeups, surprise blowouts, and a rivalry clash that ended in a dramatic draw.

AMOS 7, Triple J 5
For the third straight week, AMOSโ€™s regular goalie was a no-showโ€”but this time, Derrick Joseph stepped up and delivered. Between the pipes, Joseph held strong as AMOS powered past Triple J in a high-scoring affair. Hats off to Derrick for answering the call!

World Orphans 7, OUTCAN 1
World Orphans made a statement with a dominant 7-1 win over OUTCAN. Their offense clicked from the opening faceoff, and OUTCAN couldnโ€™t find an answer. Thatโ€™s two straight wins for the Orphans, who are suddenly surging.

OS Offices 4, Velodrome 2
Velodromeโ€™s undefeated streak came to an end as OS Offices bounced back with a gritty 4-2 win. OS tightened up defensively and capitalized on key chances, handing the newcomers their first taste of defeat.

Platinum Group 7, Nelson & Company 4
Platinum Group lit the lamp early and often, taking down Nelson & Co. in a fast-paced shootout. Nelson couldnโ€™t keep pace with Platinumโ€™s offensive rhythm, and the PLG grabbed a much-needed win.

Ace 4, HollowBrook Dental 4 (Tie)
In the nightโ€™s most dramatic matchup, HollowBrook jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Ace stormed back to go up 4-2. But HollowBrook wasnโ€™t doneโ€”they pulled their goalie late and netted two clutch goals to force a tie. Could this being the dawning of a new rivalry?

League Watch:
Velodromeโ€™s streak ends, World Orphans rise, and AMOS finds unexpected stability in net. With rivalries heating up and standings shifting, Week 4 is shaping up to be a must-watch.

Week 2 Recap: Rivalries Heat Up, Velodrome Stays Hot, and Surprises Shake the Standings

The second week of the season brought fireworks, upsets, and a few storylines that are already shaping the leagueโ€™s identity. From dominant wins to unexpected results, Sunday night delivered another thrilling round of hockey.

OUTCAN 9, OS Offices 4
OUTCAN came out swinging and never looked back, overwhelming OS Offices with a relentless offensive barrage. OS struggled to contain the rush and couldnโ€™t match the pace.

Velodrome 8, AMOS 1
Velodrome continues to impress in its inaugural campaign, steamrolling AMOS with an 8-1 victory. The score line tells a story, but thereโ€™s more behind itโ€”AMOSโ€™s regular goalie was a no-show, forcing OS Officesโ€™ Casey to step in for a rare double-header between the pipes. Thank you for stepping up and helping out Casey!

World Orphans 5, HollowBrook Dental 1
In one of the nightโ€™s biggest surprises, World Orphans stunned HollowBrook Dental with a commanding 5-1 win. After a tough opener, the Orphans bounced back with energy and execution, flipping the script and grabbing their first W of the season.

Ace 5, Platinum 2
Ace and Platinum added another chapter to their growing rivalry, with Ace coming out on top in a physical, high-tempo matchup. These two squads have built tension over the past two seasons, and Sundayโ€™s clash didnโ€™t disappoint. Aceโ€™s transition game and finishing touch proved too much for Platinum to handle.

Nelson & Company 4, Triple J 1
Nelson & Co. wrapped up the night with a methodical 4-1 win over Triple J. Solid defense, smart puck movement, and timely scoring kept Nelson in control from start to finish. Triple J showed flashes but couldnโ€™t break through Nelsonโ€™s structure.

Sunday Night Showdown: Season Opener Delivers Drama, Debuts, and Deadlocks

The puck has dropped on a brand-new season, and Sunday nightโ€™s slate of games didnโ€™t disappoint. From gritty battles to breakout performances, the leagueโ€™s opening night served up a full-course meal of hockey action.

Nelson & Company 5, AMOS 3
Nelson & Company came out firing, setting the tone early with a high-energy attack that proved too much for AMOS. With crisp passing and relentless forechecking, Nelsonโ€™s squad controlled the pace and sealed the win. AMOS showed flashes of brilliance but couldnโ€™t close the gap.

OS Offices 6, Ace 4
In one of the nightโ€™s most competitive matchups, OS Offices edged out Ace in a back-and-forth thriller. Despite skating with a short bench, Ace kept the pressure on and nearly pulled off a comeback. OS Offices capitalized on key turnovers and showed depth across all lines, making the difference in the final frame.

Velodrome 5, World Orphans 1
Welcome to the league, Velodrome! The newcomers made a statement in their debut, dominating the World Orphans with a commanding 5-1 victory. Speed, structure, and sharp shooting defined Velodromeโ€™s game, while the Orphans struggled to find rhythm against the relentless pace.

HollowBrook Dental 6, Triple J 2
HollowBrook Dental drilled down on defense and lit the lamp with precision, cruising past Triple J in a decisive win. The squadโ€™s chemistry was evident, and their transition game was on full display. Triple J had moments of pushback but couldnโ€™t crack the code against HollowBrookโ€™s solid goaltending.

Outcan 4, Platinum 4 (Tie)
The nightcap ended in dramatic fashion as Outcan and Platinum battled to a 4-4 draw. Both teams traded goals and momentum throughout, with neither able to pull away. A late equalizer from Platinum sent the game into a stalemate, leaving fans eager for the rematch.

Season Outlook:
With the season officially underway, early contenders are emerging, and new rivalries are brewing. Velodromeโ€™s debut has turned heads, while Nelson & Company and HollowBrook Dental look poised to build on strong starts. Stay tunedโ€”this season promises to be one for the books.

Draft Registration Deadline!

Potential NORAD Players,

The final day to register for the NORAD Hockey League draft has been moved from July 31st to July 26th (that’s only 9 days away). Our numbers for the draft are very strong and this will allow the teams time to see who has registered and put together their draft strategy.

If you have not registered yet, please do so as soon as possible. Once registration closes on July 26th, no players will be added to the draft pool. There will be no exceptions, so if you hope to play this season, don’t forget to register.

Welcome Colorado Springs Velodrome

The Colorado Springsย Velodromeย has officially joined the NORAD Hockey League as the 10th team. Robert Mayfield will be the sponsor for this team and Ronnie Pinnell will be his captain. These gentlemen both played in the league for the first time last year with HollowBrook Dental and are currently skating in the summer league as well. It is very exciting to see the league continue to grow!

NORAD is Looking for a Sponsor

The NORAD Hockey League will be expanding to 10 teams for the upcoming season and we are looking for a business/player to sponsor the newly approved 10th team. Sponsors are responsible for providing a logo and approving their team’s jerseys, attending the draft to draft their team, helping to communicate with their team during the season, attending the end-of-season meeting to discuss league changes, and paying their sponsorship fee. All teams also assignย a captain and assistant captain to help the sponsor with these tasks. If you are interested in sponsoring the new team or have any questions, please reach out to the commissioner at comm@noradhockey.com.

2025-2026 NORAD Draft Registration is Open!

Registration for the draft for the 2025-2026 NORAD Hockey Season is open. We know it’s earlyย to be registeringย for a league that starts in August, but with the possibility of addingย a 10th team we want to have plenty of time for players to register.

Please go to the registration page to register or click here.

Big Changes Coming to the NORAD League Draft

Last night was the annual NORAD End-of-Season Meeting. For those who do not know, at the end of the season the sponsors and captains get together to discuss the season that just ended. In these meetings, things like player rankings and potential changes to the league are discussed. Each year there are usually small changes that are made to help make sure the league stays fair and competitive. Last night’s meeting, however, brought some of the biggest changes the league has seen in recent memory.

As most of you know, the NORAD League is a draft league with protected players. Each team has the ability to protect up to eight players from their team going into the draft. Most teams tend to either keep their goalie, their 6, or sometimes both. Well for this upcoming season, neither one of those things will be happening, as the sponsors and captains voted to no longer allow teams to protect their goalies or 6s.

This change may not seem like a big deal, but there are some goalies and 6s who have played for only one team since they joined the NORAD League, so this has the potential to really mix up the league and put some old faces in new places. Registration for the 2025-26 season will look to open up in July and we hope to see everyone on the ice in August!

CONGRATULATIONS TRIPLE J!

The NORAD Hockey League season came to an end last night as Triple J defeated HollowBrook Dental in the championship game. HollowBrook jumped out to an early lead as Hunter Winegarner hammered home a one-timer from Nathan Watts to start the scoring in the first period. The second and most of the third period belonged to the goalies, as Rick Haneke and Jared Wolf matched save for save to keep the game 1-0. In the final minutes of regulation however, HollowBrook took a penalty that would prove to be very costly as Matt Lee scored on a rebound for Triple J to tie things up and send the game into overtime. The overtime period was very cautious as neither team wanted to make the big mistake, but with under a minute remaining, a puck bounced out to the high slot where Sam Downs sealed the game for Triple J with a backhand goal.
