CONGRATULATIONS TRIPLE J!

The NORAD Hockey League season came to an end last night as Triple J defeated HollowBrook Dental in the championship game. HollowBrook jumped out to an early lead as Hunter Winegarner hammered home a one-timer from Nathan Watts to start the scoring in the first period. The second and most of the third period belonged to the goalies, as Rick Haneke and Jared Wolf matched save for save to keep the game 1-0. In the final minutes of regulation however, HollowBrook took a penalty that would prove to be very costly as Matt Lee scored on a rebound for Triple J to tie things up and send the game into overtime. The overtime period was very cautious as neither team wanted to make the big mistake, but with under a minute remaining, a puck bounced out to the high slot where Sam Downs sealed the game for Triple J with a backhand goal.
